Phlebotomy Program:

We offer flexible class schedules that are tailored to the adult student! The Phlebotomy Program is 9 weeks in length and meets only one day a week from 9:30am-1:30pm. Upon successful completion of the program you will receive a certificate of completion from the school. You will then be eligible to take the National HealthCareer Association (NHA). We offer the exam on the last week of the program at our training center! Our program prepares the student to accomplish the exam successfully and have you career ready! Our instructors have decades of experience in clinical laboratories , specimen processing, phlebotomy and instruction! PHLEBOTOMY CLASS COVERS THE FOLLOWING:

  • Special Collection Procedures
  • Venipuncture Draws
  • Capillary Draws
  • Order of Draw
  • Legal Aspects of Healthcare.

Medical Assisting Program:

Our Medical Assisant course meets one day a week from 930am-230pm for a duration of 12 weeks. Upon successful completion of the program you will receive a certificate of completion from the school. You will then be eligible to take the National HealthCareer Association (NHA) to become a certifed clinical medical assistant. We offer the exam on the last week of the program at our training center! Our program prepares the student to take their national exam and work as an Medical Assistant. Our instructors have many years experience working as an MA and in teaching! MEDICAL ASSISTING CLASS COVERS THE FOLLOWING:

Michigan City Campus: Class Schedule

MedSKILLZ 's Michigan City campus holds Phlebotomy Classes: one day a week from 930am-130pm for a duration of 9 weeks. Medical Assisting Classes: Meet one day a week from 930am-2:00pm for a duration of 12 weeks. (This Class is FULL) / next class begins November 15th (Meet on Fridays).
August 27th (TUESDAYS)
Phlebotomy Program
Take the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and certify yourself as a qualifed Phlebotomy Technician. This 9 week program will meet on Tuesdays only from 930am-130pm . This is an in person course. After successfull completion of the program the student will be eligible to take the NHA CPT exam to become a Nationally Certfied Phelbotomy Technician. UPCOMING Phlebotomy Classes: September 18th (Wednesdays) 930am-130pm October 14th (Mondays) 930am-130pm November 5th (Tuesdays) 930am-130pm Please note all Phlebotomy classes meet for a duration of 9 weeks.
September 16th
Medical Assistant Program
Equip yourself with the knowledge and skills needed to become a Certified Medical Assistant at MedSKILLZ Academy. This 12 week program will meet on Mondays from 930am-2:00pm. This is an in person class. This class is FULL. Next class will begin on November 15th.
Supplies for Class:
Phlebotomy: The required text for the program is : The Phlebotomy Textbook 3rd edition. By: Susan King Strasinger & Marjorie Schaub Di Lorenzo. Students are encouraged to purchase the book prior to class please see the link.
You will be provided with a scrub top on the first day of class. Students are required to wear the scrub top, black pants and closed toed shoes starting the second week of the program. Medical Assisting: The required text for the program: Clinical Procedures FOR Medical Assistants 9th edition. By Kathy Bonewit-Westm (textbook). You will be provided with a scrub top on the first day of class. Students are required to wear the scrub top, black pants and closed toed shoes starting the second week of the program. BP Kit must be purchased by the second week of class.
